ORGANIZATIONAL ASSESSMENTS
Conducting an organizational assessment provides the lens to make strategic decisions. A good process sets the stage for candid and more in-depth conversations about improvement initiatives. Benson has used a variety of tools to do organizational assessments. Organizational assessments are encouraged for strategic planning efforts but can also be done independently.

Stakeholders (board and staff) will anonymously rate and evaluate the core
Gives a holistic view of any nonprofit
Determines leading recommendations for capacity building efforts
Peer Review
Benson will review and evaluate an organization’s operational excellence by reviewing items such as:
Financials
Policies and procedures
Bylaws
Employee handbook
Board minutes
Committee structures
Board recruitment processes
Marketing and branding
Grants denied and received
Logic models
Program evaluations
And others as needed
